Automotive & Transmissions
Identify the cone and cup together, including all suffixes. Confirm assembled width T, inner-ring width B, outer-ring width C and the mounting interfaces against an approved drawing. Matching bore and outside diameter alone is insufficient.

Mining Machinery
State radial and axial loads, shocks, rotational speed and any shaft deflection. Self-aligning geometry does not remove the need to check housing alignment, fits or the locating and non-locating bearing arrangement.

Agricultural Equipment
An open bearing relies on the machine's housing, seals and lubrication system for protection. A sealed bearing also needs an application review where washdown, abrasive dust or damaged housing seals can allow contamination to enter.
